Academy - Chapter 2 released

.. and it's free! Yeah well, it's free because I've been under pressure to complete and release Chapter 2 long before now. I was constantly thinking 'people have been waiting forever for that chapter'. Despite having been really busy last month and simply couldn't find the time to finish the chapter, I decided to make it free because I had made everyone wait so long.

You'll find the new chapter on the Academy page. It's a mammoth 50 pages and over 10,000 words (something I'd never get away with if I was working through a publisher) but it's more of a practical reference guide, so it covers many aspects of Flash CS3 tools in depth.

I hope you like it and if you do, I wouldn't turn up my nose to a sneaky donation!

I quit WoW

ugh.. and it hurt to click the 'Cancel Subscription' button! Well it was also a relief, tbh. I haven't played since about March this year so Blizzard have taken 7 months of free subscription money from me! I cancelled my subscription the other day so I only have a couple more days of play left before it's lights out. Once WotLK is released, I'm sure I'll be unable to resist the lure so I'll see you back on good old Khaz'goroth - - damn, do I sound like a WoW nerd or what?

Bitey at the movies

Ryan and I are still having our daily Brackenwood story meetings over Skype. We plan to have the Brackenwood feature film script written by (or around) the end of the year. Things feel like they're moving along well and invariably, we have several 'OMG YES!' moments in each meeting, which is of course preferable to having several 'oh FFS!' moments. You can keep up with our progress on the WoodenBlog.

Dungeons & Dragons

Last month I finished the monstrous fourth D&D : 'The Red Dragon Interview'. It has been released to the D&D community on the Wizards site, with generally favourable reviews from the WotC forums and other RPG communities.

As I mentioned previously, the project has become quite popular amongst D&D fans, particularly the gnome character and what has become something of a catch-phrase, "I'm a monster, RAWR!". Thanks to Chris for hooking me up with this link where you can buy the Gnome t-shirt on Jinx.com. (If I'd known they were printing shirts, I'd have provided one or two uhm... variations) :P

The Gnome is the property of Wizards of the Coast,
so, no I don't receive revenue from these shirt sales ;)

Donations

As always, thanks so much for the donations that keep coming in. As long as I've got support like this, I will never quit Brackenwood and animation.
